Had a surprise visit to day , just  up to 20 miles after getting it on the road for it,s shake down period. It has some very nice home made fibreglass work.

Thanks Chad still a long way to go yet.

Think I've fixed the card icing problem that made me break down twice on the way to stoneleigh. The cannons that came with the engine were not drilled out so no hot air was getting up to the carb.. Ran fine in the afternoon on the way home when it had warmed up a bit.

I did gain a leaky rear hub seal on the drivers side, this was done earlier I'm the build so will have to look into it at the weekend, could be one of two things.
1 - I cocked it up
2 - poor / cheap parts off EBay.

Some welding next week in the form of proper cage bolt down points instead of spreader plates and moving the seat belt points so they retract properly, will leave powder coating till after Ragley Hall as the nephew want to come and I dont think it would be back in time

It was nice to see a buggy with proper buggy tyres fitted.

I am having my full muds swapped for a girls set to drive to IBW though.....

Been a while since I posted but I do check in every day on my phone.
I will be doing a big update to my build thread now I have reinstalled windows and photobucket now works
Anyway just a quick one today as I promised Allan I would put some pictures up of the tank he got made for me.
For those who have seen my buggy I have one of Mels vented lifting bonnets. The downfall to that was I had to cut the top of the tank and reduce the size by about a third.
Allan knew a place that made his tank and kindly asked if they would do another.
This is what they made me.















I made used of the 3 inch bodylift and went down as low as I could. I cardboard mock up was made and dropped off to Allan at the MBC meet. In less than a week later it was done.
I must say im very impressed with the workmanship it dropped straight in and I would recommend anyone to get one.
At less than the price of a flatlands tank you really cant go wrong.
Im sure Allan will be along to put detail of where the chap is, prices and contact details shortly as I know he had another made as well.
