Just got engine back in but there's no wiring loom, ignition switch ... nothing.
. Wats the minimum wiring needed to see if engine runs ?
Also, how do suggest switchin it off when it does run ?
Hasn't  run for over 30 years, and neither have I ? Any other tips ?
Cheers in advance

Tony

wiring is a live to the coil and onto the carb choke and idle shut off valve and it will go.
a bulb wired to the engine oil pressure switch is a very good idea to ensure oil pressure.
fan belt off so no charging circuit.

turn it over with the ignition off until the oil light goes out or  about 30 seconds without.
top up the carb float chamber, ignition wire on and start it up.
it will run for a couple of mins with no cooling so if ok then wire up the charge system and put the belt on and away you go.
good luck.

If it hasnt run for 30 years I assume you have turned it over, may be worth a squirt of aerosol oil in the plug holes to ease that first run of the rings up the bores
