A good day in the man cave today.  :) :) :)

After repairing the lawnmower and hosting Mr Robinson for a cuppa got down to work.

External oil system now plumbed in.  ;-)up
Exhaust now fully fitted  ;-)up
Carb linkage reconnected.  ;-)up

Just a few more odds and ends to do then it'll be fired up.  :o :o :o

End result can be seen here.

And here's a special close up for Krug and his fellow worshippers of bling. I've already achieved a slightly 'antiqued' look by creating the pipes using mole grips and a slightly dodgy adjustable wrench.  :D :D :D You guys will just have to admit defeat and accept you won't convert  me to the shiny side.  ;D ;D ;D

Cheers

Quick update as this weekend didn't go as planned. :( :( :(

All put back in yesterday but try as I might the thing wouldn't kick into life. So during a quick chat with Alan at GAC I decided to pull the complete engine back out and drop it back over to him to have him fifnshg set up, fire it up and dyno it at the same. So end result will be better as I'd probablly have wanted it dynoing anyway.  :) :) :)

Watch this space.  ;-)up ;-)up ;-)up

Cheers

Ohh Fran that's a pain...

Well, hopefully it will come back ready to fire up, and putting it on
his dyno will mean it gets sorted out ok.

Absolutely. Also means that it will be done much quicker than if I spend time tinkering as you never know whether the carbs may need some work etc, so this way it'll be bob on. Only challenge then will be the MOT.  ;-)up ;-)up ;-)up

Sounds like you have a mighty fine back up plan there!  ;-)up

If I'd known you were struggling, I would have sent you a lucky text message!  ;) ;)

Ginger's alive. Engine fired up and a quick spin round the block all felt fine.  :) :) :)

The test (literally) will come on the trip to the MOT centre on Saturday.  :o :o :o

Watch this space.  :D :D :D

New exhausts are much more discrete than the old units....................still there's always the removable baffles to play with.  ;-)up ;-)up ;-)up
