Ok well I guess we will re-assess the weather on Saturday, but yes as things stand, realistically, the rain may put a bit of a damper on this trip.

Currently its looking like the rains will arrive at Wisbech by lunch time (or earlier) and staying put for the rest of the day.

Is it fair to say that we warn Mel, that we will check the weather forecasts on Saturday afternoon and subject to that we will say whether we are still heading over there or not? And if so arrange another date? Sorry  :'( :'( But I guess we need to be realistic on this one.

I`m sure that if Mel were on here, he would be the first to say that he has enough canoes for everyone

I agree, bummer but that's the way the English weather is!

Another idea.... How do folks feel about going on Saturday lunchtime / afternoon instead?

Weather is clear from mid morning sat through to Sunday morning. Not checked with Mel yet of course but how would that work with the rest of you ??

Ok well I guess, realistically we have to say that this trip is postponed for this weekend. Are we agreed?

Im sure we can re-arrange it for another time soon when the weather is drier and Mels is more available too.

Meanwhile with a window of dry weather from Saturday Lunchtime until the evening at least. Anyone else want to play at all? Was thinking of driving up to lets say Coventry'ish sort of area and so you midlands lot could meet up and have a little cruise about? Any takers?

we are busy saturday afternoon so the cruise is out :(
I guess we may be over the drink drive limit on sunday morning after a party saturday night but
a cancellation of the trip to the coast is probably a very good idea, cold and crisp is better than cold and wet.

I might take a trip to the "BACK TO BASICS' little show that Shaggy posted earlier in the week, tomorrow afternoon when the sun comes out  ;)

I have to go to work for a couple hours Saturday afternoon to do some systems testing as we have a complete power shutdown Saturday morning which will probably mess something up.......

Will be about after 3. Seems we have friends coming over on Sunday which the wife has only just told me about..... ::)
