hi folks.

im following peters diagram for wiring and iv come to installing the wiper motor and switch.

my wiper motor looks like this. it has not got pole 30 for power. it has 53a 31b 53 53b and 31 under the white tab.

my switch is an iva rocker from cbs. has 4 poles.

im a bit stuck as i dont want to burn anything out testing it.

Hi Buddy,

Do you have instructions for the switch? If so I may be able to help.

Basically you will only be using 3 or 4 of the pins on the wiper motor.

Do you have the CBS catalogue? It has a diagram in there.

Hi Buddy,

Sorry I forgot I said I would help with this.

Try this layout out,

Basically you will only be using position 1 and 2 on the switch

It appears than point 2 on teh switch is the common feed on both positions 1 and 2

so

12v +ve feed to pin 2

Pin 1 to 53 on Wiper Motor (slow speed)

Pin 4 to 53b on Wiper motor (fast speed)

-ve (earth) to 31 on wiper motor

and finally

take an additional loop feed wire from pins 2 to 53a on the wiper motor which is the self park feed (sometimes works, sometimes not, depending on the wiper motor)

try this simple wiring out using the battery first and should all work. (fingers crossed :))
