MONKEY SOCKS!!

Went out in the buggy yesterday, didn't mean for it to end up like a day out but it did. And was a mini adventure!

I took it to show Miller at F1K, but I think he was more interested in showing off his new sub 



Oh, and he stood on the seat! What's that about!? Yes, I told him off! 

Then I went to visit Sarah and Dan, they fought over who was going out in it first and then ended up on a day long adventure with Sarah, we even made it through the Queensway tunnels!!! But not to far (hmm let's not talk about that) Got it started again and have to stop of at PMT (music shop in town) so Sarah could go to the loo... We didn't intend to be out that long, and we didn't even do that many miles - it's all experience and an adventure!

Then we got back (sort of... minus the pushing it up the hill) to Dan's when he was picking up his little brother from school.



He didn't want his picture taken but oh well 

I managed to get home about 7ish. Then at the end of the night Dad put my side mirrors on, well 1 of them... he broke the other. And put the hub caps on.

We're sort of packed and ready for our first buggy outing at NEWS2013!! And Plume tyres have my tyres at last! so going to get those "on the way".

It was a bit thirsty to start with, but I think I just wasn't putting enough in 
Was fine over the weekend 

Just before we went down to Gloucester, I was able to get the buggy some bigger tyres for the back (which turned out to be the same as Aorange's) I'm really pleased with them 



I think the front needs to come up a bit and the wheels for the front need narrowing so I can get them on there!

Dad says the next big spend should be on seats...

I quite like these - but perhaps with some tangerine pipping 


I did really want the seats out of this...



But that never happened... Decisions decisions

Cheers guys  I've just seen some 'old skool' seats that I like more. Shame they are never for sale 

So far so good with the buggy, still not finished though.

Just before the Manchester weekend (that I didn't make it to  sorry Krug) Dad and I changed the front suspension to raise it up a bit. Unfortunately, the front wings will still occasionally hit when going over a bump. I may have filed away a bit of one of the wings on the tyres. Oops.

Dad has lost my fuel cap to go in the whole on the bonnet, typical! I bought that from a boat shop a very very very long time ago, and now it's hiding in his garage somewhere.

I gave it a wash the other day, all that swarf I had sitting in the foot-well is now gone. Got water everywhere. Took it out the next day and out it came from under the dash  I think I need to pop in some plugs to let the water out...

Just a thought Haze....

Stand the buggy on a flat/level surface and pour a pint of water in each foot well....

It will flow to the lowest point by itself.... Drill a 10mm hole in the deepest bit and it will drain...
The hole wont be anywhere sensible position wise but it will be in the place that will drain all the water...

Maybe! 

Shaggy has given me two little rubber plug thingys, to let water out but not in.

Hadn't really given it any thought to where I would put them... Till now, sounds like a plan Peter! Thanks

Looks really good now, though I still can't help but notice it seems to still be the wrong colour.

I know what you mean, it IS the wrong colour but hey. There's always next time.

I only recently got the front tyres so they won't be changing any time soon, it is a bit low but it's ok.
