if mine was balljoint front end i would change to disc brakes in a instance    as its so cheap to fit a disc   conversion       and for very little money can easily update to  porsche   vented discs and    porsche    964/944 turbo calipers    what made a vast diference to    braking on my beetle  ,   all the brakes are adjusted correctly and new  but if you drive the  buggy  spiritly    sadly the brakes    are not up  to  it  anyone    done a home brew  brake conversion on   a link pin front end

Not done a home brew. Have done CSP. Expensive but passed everything the IVA inspector threw at it and passed with flying colours. Have fitted the original Empi back in the past but the set up was rubbish with the calipers flexing all over the place. Never went back to Empi although there later version was said to have resolved this issue. Sadly Empi disc setup can no longer be said to be cheap
