Cheers peter have been looking  the weight of roof wont require much  force    and if they do them in the shiny stuff happy days

I just remembered some stuff.... As I used to be the works production Technician there 

They used to do 'RV's'.... These are still in use so its worth specifying if you needed...

The RV is a small valve fitted to the 'Heel' end, the springs can be 'over gassed' to a higher pressure and
you can release this pressure when fitted to achieve the exact lifting force you need...

Don't over do it though 

Also...., they do 'locker's'... ie, these will stop at the point you stop the roof lift, whereupon, a quick pull down will start the lift process again
so you can in effect open the roof and stop it at any point in its lifting arc...

you might need to raise the roll bar and windscreen...so forget the struts....much cheaper option

Got my brackets made by martin this week  hardtop at wrappers all I need now is two m10 1.25 x 20mm button head screws but all the web sites I find them on keep failing when I get to check out    was hopeing to have it done by weekend 

Try custom fasteners ltd they will have what you need and by the way very cool

Sorted got some  coal and fired up the pc  12 quid for two 25mm bolts thieving @@#@$@### ds 

Pick up roof tomorrow  so afew hours in the man cave Saturday finishing off a few bits then booked in for a rolling road session with ray next Thursday  ready for a blast to volkswold on sat
