looking for help if possible, I have a 1600 engine with twin chock Webber which is playing up when I push throttle pedal down it cuts out so can't take it to a garage, I live in Somerset not far from shepton mallet a couple of miles away if someone is close by and be willing to have a look for me much appreciated or any ideas what I could be looking at to correct this issue many thanks.

I'd start by dismantling the carb and cleaning the jets

Look down the carb using a torch engine off and open the throttle the small jet sticking out into the air flow should issue a nice steady stream of petrol to accelerate the motor.
If it does not  it is blocked or the pump is not working, you need the model of the carb for a diagram showing the parts.
