Well done on the MOT but I take it you don't recommend silicone to seal the float chamber.

Gunk in carbs from ethanol issues is enough of a challenge without deliberately injecting silicone !

Can you post a snap or two of your MOT'd wonder ?

That`s mental.  Silicone in carb drillings/jets would be a pain to correct. People don`t realise that the float level, if set correctly to start with is reliant upon gasket thickness
