I'm starting to wire up my beetle based trike and I'm using a CBS module and need some help please.
  The standard beetle wiring is B+ from alternator to the battery via the starter motor and the D+ to the ignition switch via the warning light in the speedo.

  The CBS diagram says B+ to upper 5 and D+ to upper 8 via ignition waring light.

  So should I just use only the standard beetle wiring and not wire it via the module OR use the module wiring instead ?
   
   If i use the CBS module I'm not sure what size wire to run from B+ to the module they say use 65/030 which i think is 35amp wire will that be ok as the alternator is             
   55amp

   Also can you use a LED light as a ignition warning light.

For 55 amp alternator you need at least 60amp continuous  wire From alt to battery the cbs module will be up front and supply  the power to circuits and needs a wire capable of carrying the amps that all the circuits consume  x2  . LED is no good for alt warning light it needs a bulb

LED is fine providing......  You use reverse positive versions which are readily available. And a resistance across the led for alternator/dynamo indication. I used the original incadescent bulb wired in parallel across the led. All my dash bulbs, speedo etc, are led and have been 100% reliable for the last 6 years
