Another cracking bit of Yorkshire scenery and Yorkshire hospitality due to one and all but co ordinated by Ricaard and Nichola. Richard gave his all to keep my ManraRay moving on the Friday 97 mile mini cruise including his back giving way pushing it up over a junction and bump starting it. And if that wasn't enough he insisted on showing me Yorkshire's - indeed the country's - tallest monolith (7.5m but originally taller as the ground has been raised by 1.5m over the stone's 3500 year existence) at Rudston near Driffield. Deeply impressive and almost as mysterious as the rough running of my buggy ! 'Driffield' featured often on the local signs when out on perhaps the longest - it seemed - cruise we did on Saturday. But we followed locals Stu or David - depending on which section of the cruise 'snake' you ending up in - and the countryside rolled past and we still arrived at the Piebald for a stonking good supper. Thanks to everyone and yet again the many who provided ideas, opinions and practical help wrt my car - Carl, Richard, Sid Vicious etc. I got home to Herefordshire in just over 6 hours and the only rain was on the M5 and in my home county by which time it was too late to dampen the memories.

Some snaps but there were far more incidents, views and buggys that I have missed.

I almost feel watched ! But the shot with the sign post fingers is excellent although sadly just before you sacrificed your back pushing me up a slope over a junction to bump start me.

Keith I had the return of  very rough running which increased fuel consumption in what turned out to be the first of two extended cruises. Even after re fuelling the MantaRay wasn't good at ticking over at junctions and inclined to stall and then needing bump starting as ignition turning didn't fire it up. On Sunday various things were done to it but the keys seem to be Richard tweaking the mixture screws using his probe as guide and new plugs all round. It then ran fine 210 miles home. I've ordered 52 idle jets, larger air filters, electronic ignition and a Petronix Flame Thrower II coil as I suspect the rough running issue could still return if I don't  maximise my spark and try and reduce sooty plugs building up.
