Royston this looks like you have most if not all the components of an operational buggy (although I see it has been towed to site) but do let us know what needs upgrading or is missing as often people on here have bits and/or useful advice or ideas on what's best when changing.

Have you previous buggy experience and will you run it as it is or do you have radical plans to alter the appearance ?

Hi Royston and welcome to the world of Beach Buggies,   I recognised the reg number of your Buggy, Back in the 70s the original 1st owner lived next door to my wife when she was a child living with her parents in Sawley Derbyshire.   The first black and white photo is from back then and is how it looked when first built. The colour photos are probably about 10 years ago when it was owned by someone on the Isle of White.

Have fun. Be lucky

This is brilliant Merscury - wish we could link up more of today's buggys with their images from former lives. So was it purple when Sue was a child ie has it been the same colour throughout ?

Funny Dave!

I actually feared that b&w image hid the fact it was orange originally and that had influenced Sue and paul in their present buggy colour...

Believe or not Sue can't remember it, so I had to ask her elder brother and you can't imagine how much I was hoping & praying that he was going to say Orange but he seems to think it was metal flake or maybe metallic Blue.
