Just floating this one out there as a complete set before I contemplate breaking it up.

Many years ago, I started to build myself a huge Digital Scalextric set. Straddled over three tables it measures 8 feet by 10 feet, so its not for the the average bedroom - it needs a large Man Cave to fit it in.

Unlike Scalextric of old, this Digital set allows you to race 4 cars simultaneously, change lanes and overtake each other. To prevent damage to the cars when playing, I used Audi TT's as there is nothing breakable on them when they go flying into orbit, but you can also use a combination of any other compatible Digital cars from your own collection.

The track itself is quite complex as you can see, and has many crossovers allowing you to really challenge your opponents.

The layout is divided into two sections, a lower tack with lots of twisting curves, hairpins, chicken crossing, which you can race around carefully to your hearts content with the digital lap counter recording your every move, or you can use the outer lane up the slope onto the fast outer track where you can race round and round as fast as you can getting some speed up, pausing only to pull into the pit lane for the Digital Challenge game. You have to get your timing right to exit back down the slope to the lower levels, else its another full lap before you get another chance. It took me ages to design this track and its just brilliant.

So, the elephant in the room. For reasons beyond my control, (You may recall Lisa's accident) I have never managed to finish it off and this has laid dormant for around 5 years and has just sat there gathering dust (a lot of dust). Its time for it to go. I have no idea how easy it will be to pull apart and get down the stairs, but I got it up there once, so it must be possible to bring back down again in many pieces. The three tables should come apart quite easily and the 8x2 base boards are held together by the outer edges. Most of the upper levels are not fully fixed as it was still a work in progress - but still allowed you to play and test it out. Probably best to come and take loads of photos how it goes together before the track is taken off though. I`m sure we could easily get it all apart between us and into your van within half a day. The track will need a good dusting and a polish where some of it has dulled.

Included will be all that you see here, all track, boards, tables, 4 way digital controller, lap counter, 4x Digital Audi cars and a few bits of scenery and accessories - some of which are a bit trick like the flashing lights on the Ambulance and lights in the control tower - yeah, I had great plans once.

Looking for around the £450 mark to take it away from Paignton TQ32SG
