I have a T3 motor that I bought a couple of years ago, before deciding on Corvair power.

When I bought it, it had been stored in a garage for 20+ years. It had apparently been a working engine when stored, but over the years it had become 'stuck' as the yanks say.
I have no reason to distrust the seller, so assume it's rings are just stuck to the bores from 20 years of humidity etc etc. I haven't attempted to turn the motor over, it may well free up with a breaker bar and some muscle.

Anyways, it's pretty complete, so if anyone is looking for a T3 (I think they look way better than T1's do in a Buggy) please make an offer.

See pics.

PS. still got the new Prowler bonnet & screen posts to use Dauphine screen if anyones interested.

Hi Jon, I think all the 1500SP type 3 engines were 6 volt, So perhaps not much good for the beach buggy's as the crank, flywheel, dynamo, fan shroud, chokes, fuel cut off jets, coil and voltage regulator are all different. So perhaps see what voltage the electrical parts have stamped on them and count the number of teeth on the flywheel. There are quite a few type 3 groups now on facebook, a 6 volt one could be worth more than a 12 volt one with all it's electrical parts. 6 volt 200mm flywheels are sort after as well  ;) ;)
