Calling all kindly Beach Buggy owners on this font of knowledge and experience forum!!

I wasn't too sure where to post this cheeky request but went for Member's Buggies.

I'd really like to have a test ride in a buggy or two to get a feel for what we have have ahead of us. As I said in the newbie section, my son and I want to get a buggy and have some fun looking at / working on / restoring / fixing / being looked at / breaking down / getting wet in said buggy. We are in Somerset and fairly regularly go to the South Hams area of Devon where my parents live.

If there is anyone here, there, in between or otherwise who would be happy to take us for a test ride and have a general chat about buggy ownership it would be most appreciated.

Like I said, a little cheeky, but I know you fine people will be happy to help out a couple of new prospective buggy owners.

Not cheeky. A fair request given how many buggy owners I've met who k know would happily help if you walked up to them at a car show or where they loved.

There will be 20/30 buggys concentrated in Swanage for the opening weekend of their carnival and you could look on the members map on here and see if anyones near where you travel about. If you come to N Herefordshire I'd oblige and if you get to Birmingham there are very active friendly buggys regularly looking for an excuse to have a run.

If you make it as far down as the pointy end of Cornwall I need no excuse to go out in my buggy. I could only take you one at a time however! 

I had always wanted one since I was a teenager (and that was many moons ago!) and I can say that when I finally got to drive one it more than lived up to expectations.

Thanks for the replies and the heads up. Unfortunately we are away the weekend of the Swanage carnival  as that would've been a perfect little trip.

I shall keep eyes and ears open for any other events with Buggy content.

I`m in Paignton, Devon, and whilst I cannot promise a ride out in the Buggy as its currently in bits, the kettle is always on here and you are more than welcome to pop by at any time for a chat and a closer look at one.
