Evening , I'm on the hunt for parts for getting around a problem .  I'm after the ferrule sections off of 4 sleeves . The metal part that plugs into the small tubes coming out of the engine forks . As shown below .

My only other option is to either get some made or buy and extra 2 sets to just cannibalise for the ferrules .

I am in south Somerset but happy to pay postage .

Thanks in advance , Sam
It seemed a good idea at the time !!

Hi Dave , I've had a good look through the catalogue and found the section but is now a bit limited and more focused on choke cables .

They are for where my tunnel is cut off at the rear torsion beam , and I need to join into the cut of tubes and get closer to the handbrake , whilst protecting the cable . In short I need to make up two sleeves about 18" long with ferrules on each end to match the original tubes in the tunnel .

Sadly I threw my old ones from donor beetle away long before I got this far .

Try a google search...   Brake cable ferrules were commonly available in many sizes from bicycle 5mm up-over.  Both metal and plastic.  They may still be.... :) :)

Might also be worth a call then to some of the companies that make bespoke cables - such as "Speedy Cables" and see if they will supply parts   :-\

Cheers for that Dave , I'll give them a call , I was struggling to find a company that might supply parts only or made to order , just set pre made kits .

Paul , I'll take a look and see if bike components might fit , it's just getting the stepped ferrule to work with the pipe size , as effectively I need to plug into one end of the existing solid tube and not loose the sleeve inside it .

Yes I am with you... All ferules I have come across in the past are stepped giving two diameters.

Is there nobody on here who has a lathe that could help Sam out ?
