All the fun of the fair was indulged in by Allan showing that suction cup cross bows were not his forte. The stall holder even started to dose off:




Vanessa, Allan and Matthew tried hitting out a red star and only Matthew came close:









At archery Matthew easily hit a bulls eye, won a hot dog and made his dad proud:







DC challenged Vanessa to archery and had an off day whereas Vanessa pretended to shoot wide until her last shot hit absolute centre of the bulls eye winning another hotdog:









The newly victorious Vanessa hit the town with her hotdog 'Dave' and not so hotdog partner Allan:

Made it home without too much bother, lost a bit of oil, thanks Flags for being there and too everyone else for making it a fun weekend

Great weekend everyone - fantastic to seen so many family faces. I will try to upload a few video clips to YouTube later on. I've already posted the actual parade coverage to the Facebook page, but will add that to YouTube too.


Hope the chap with the Corvair engine sidewinder (I think it was?) got home alright after his "incident" on the M3/M25 junction. Happy to help with a knife and screw driver to keep him going even with a broken front suspension/steering set up.

Eeek, sounds like nasty. Hope everyone was OK.
Screwdriver and knife are not the first tools which come to mind to repair a steering issue. But if it work, it works.

Nope that was one issue, but it pumping fuel out when he started was more of a concern!


It was a lost fuel filter at the front and so he managed to cut pipe and re-connect one piece back to the tank, sealing with one of the jubilee clips.


So as it turns out me nit having a buggy this year meant I became part of the support services in several ways over the weekend!
