Wrangle Weekend Important update ..
We have extended the weekend to now include the Sunday this will allow us to visit the VW Skeg Vegas show on "show & Shine" day this is the biggest turn out of VW all types in our area.
I have been speaking with the organisers who will be pleased to welcome us (£££'s) of course they are  :D
Camping at the school will be available until the Monday morning , I thought I would let you know early in the year allowing time for you to book an additional days holiday should you wish to stay  ;-)up

Thanks for setting this up Simon and allowing us extended use of your welcoming facilities.

A couple of nights ago Oojamaflip came to the MBC monthly meeting proudly sporting his Skeg Vegus T shirt and willingly showed (made a deep impression on some of us!) a photo of him cross dressing for Skeg Vegus.

I won't be packing any such attire and hope to pay my entrance fee and 'appear' as myself !

For those of us that didn't attend the last one - can we have a few more details as to what and where it is, costs and booking information please?

I would like to come over, but no idea what I am coming to  :-\

Dave to quote from last years intro (prices might be tweaked up a bit):

Simon, Jo and family are organising a chilled out buggy camp out weekend at Jo's school in Wrangle, Lincolnshire (PE22 9AS) from Friday 19th August-Sunday 21st August with an option of arriving from the Thursday and staying till Monday 22nd to take in Skeg Vegus on Sunday). The school is secure and will be padlocked and has a large field area, toilets and shower and we will be the only ones with access to it. The cost for camping, whether tents, caravans or vans will be £10 [Simon please amend] a unit per night with additional £5 [Simon please amend] for electric hook up. All proceeds will go towards the school. The school has a fish and chip shop not too far away or other takeaway facilities. The camp out will be similar to other camping weekends, with a cruise around the Lincolnshire Wolds on the Saturday with a photo opportunity and stop for lunch, whether a picnic or pub will depend on numbers. If you are interested in attending and a meet up with friends please add your name to the list. Everyone is welcome

You can obviously look through last years post wrt this Lincolnshire weekend to get an idea of the generous, flat, exclusive campsite and what we did over a couple of days. It was exceptionally good as far as everyone I spoke to so do contact some of the campers to get their tips or insights eg the exact type of shower and toilet and adequacy of the power supply - looked the business to me !

More generally though 'what you are coming to' is a decent gathering of buggys - many you'll know - driven by the usual disparate range of personalities.

A flat field with electric to folks who need it, decent size marquee with boiling vessel and hot drinks, one shower in outside toilet block and toilets and washrooms in school. Rating Swanage as 2 from 10 this is 9 or more well kept and maintained. Swimming pool is out of bounds though.
Not far to the shops and chippy.

We will be up there a day or two early to help the marquee erection and power supply laying out.

Yeah, but you do have us from the South West - passports and phrase books at the ready  ;D

Given we will be traveling the length of the country, just wondering if we can sort out some form of IBW style cruise with a few meeting points on the way  :-\
Something to think about nearer the time maybe?
