Hi All finally I had my second seat put in on the drivers side, but due to the seat having to be moved closer to the peddles my seatbelt end that goes around my waist I cannot extend it anymore, I can do it up but it's a little cosy.
Is there anything I can buy to extend them or should I just buy new? Advice appreciated. They are the 3 point harness type ones. Cheers Deb ( And no my name is not Luke before anyone asks ) 😂

I reckon you could use some appropriately sized flat bar with appropriate seat belt mounting  bolts.  I had some fittings from some aftermarket universal inertia seat belts from the times when static belts were still common. May still have some somewhere.

Extending the mounting brackets is simple but you can buy longer belts

I used a shackle  from a mountaineering supplier to connect my lap strap on a 3 point. Extends it a few inches

Seat belt extenders are readily available in a variety of lengths.

This is what I have.

Straights are about inch & half, cranked about 2 1/2".

One of these pics may work.

Thanks bajaowa but I dont think they will fit mine because I have this type of fixing on the floor, unless anyone can tell me differently, I appreciate you looking. Cheers Deb

Deb, those links I mentioned will fit those. Just measure the hole by using drill bits to see what fits then check the shackle size, it's the threaded pin that need to fit the eye.

https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/heavy-duty-lifting-shackle-3/

These go up to 5 ton and of you get that sort of force on a seatbelt in a buggy you've got bigger things to worry about than the belt letting go

https://www.liftinggeardirect.co.uk/piling-shackles

There's plenty if you search for Lifting Shackles. eBay and Amazon do them but I wouldn't trust the quality to save a quid

If they're not long enough buy some heavy chain, clip the belt to one end and put the shackle through the other, simples

Glad it's sorted, being comfortable is important. Any chance of a photo of what you ended up with as it may help others. Cheers Dave
