Sadly after sitting idol for 9 tears the ol' baja is beyond economical repair.
I've been looking at re-shelling but most look nearly as bad as mine, so I think the future is going to be LWB and plastic.

Hi Lurker  it solves a lot of rust problems and leaves you with a easy to repair pan under a low maintenance body.

Great potential buggy look - keep the paint colour & stars, exhaust, mudflaps and wheels but lose the roof-rack.

Oh and the splash of yellow on the engine is an inspired touch !

Hello and welcome. There are plenty of nice shiney new lwb kits out there. I built a Jas about 10 years ago, it was a fun and easy build.

Kits are available from Jas, Doon, FF, Californian, GT, Volksrod and others.

For me traditional styling is the future, or the past or summink, but it's the way to go. 
I was almost tempted by the plastic Ghia on ebay as I have to do floorpans anyway but then I'd never get around to using my Bugzylla(?) adaptors.
Motor rebuild is almost finished so I may start a build thread soon.
