Hi folks.

Has anyone got extra lighting on there buggys? Be it spot lamps, driving lamps or even neons 

I'm not 100% on some spot lights I got for christmas from my brother now I've put them on the roll cage so I'm looking for a bit of inspiration

all down to personal taste is the answer to that one, you can have whatever you like. Those look a bit OTT for an interior light though.
I used to have a pair of raydot fireballs wired into main beam on the front bumper but these days the bulbs are better so nothing extra.

Thats what I'm thinking too, they are a bit over the top.. Then again so is driving a beach buggy!

fit HID kit into main headlight,
kits nowadays arnt too bad regards blinding oncoming traffic,
yep I know that to be legal the kit fitted must also be fitted to adjustable headlights and have at least head lamp washers
but given the kit is easy to fit, and remove
sending the buggy in for mot with normal head lamp bulbs isn't such a task

I have/had HID's in my daily car and I didnt like them. The light didn't seem to be as "good" as I was getting out of my Orsam Hyper Blue's I had in. I've went back to them now.

The daily driver has all the projector lenses nonsence so the beam pattern was spot on but they didn't seem as good. Plus the whole warming up thing annoyed the life out of me. It might of been because my car has a single bulb for low and main with a shutter inside the light so I couldn't flash people as the lights wouldn't work.


As for the buggy I was thinking about putting a H1 kit in the big spot lamps, but I'm running a dynamo so gonna keep them at 35w for just now.

ive got the latest hid bulb system fitted to my L200
flashing oncoming traffic is great with this kit as its instant response
flash fast enough and its almost like watching a strobe light its that quick
the ballast unit is also very small and extremely slimline too
literally plug n play with no feeder wires going to car battery at all

actually I love them so much I brought a second kit and did my front fog lights to match lol

HID direct by any chance? got mines from there. Still got them so if I get h1 hid bulbs should be a quick install.

trust me it was fun to just park the bike where it was obvious someone would set the proximity sensor off
surprised I never got nicked for it
