Hi guys. I am looking for my first buggy and after some help and advice. Are there any top tips you can give me that I can check ie engine, sears & seatbelt, roll cage and v5 to make I buy something safe and solid! Any advice would be great. Many thanks. Sazzle

Welcome to the site, looking to buy advice is hard as most are home built and all are different. your first decision is long or short wheel base and the look you want and the budget.
Where do you live there may be buggies by you to go and look at as a starting point for looking and learning.
V5 wise a LWB with an unmodified pan still as a beetle is no problem if the chassis and engine numbers match. a SWB ideally needs to be registered as a buggy. special, convertible. 4X4 or something other than a beetle saloon .

Try and get to some gatherings of buggy's as owners will usually talk willingly about their buggy's.

If you say where you are you'll almost certainly find other buggy's near you who you can pop and look at.
