Wouldn`t it be easier in the long run to change the wheels to match the PCD rather than drilling and studding discs?

Yes" but in the same way If I had used a stock rolling pan it would now be on the road" :D and it would still look the same as any other buggy""  I do have a slip from years ago for wheels outside of the body line :D,, and to get 10" and 7" slots in the body line is hard"" I can fit 5or6" slots on the front but I like to have tyres and front brakes that work not slide or lock up,,, As I'm going low the wheels have got to sit in the body line any way,,, I'm in no rush and I get more out of building them and I do driving or going to shows,,I had an mk1 as a daily drive for years, I had years of going to events and being lift to put up club gazebos etc why the show queens prop the bar up and talking boll...s,,

I have not been working on the buggy as life has been getting in the way and I'm shot to bits :P  But now I'm back to it I got a price for alloy sheet for the seat and it was cheaper to use checker plate :-\ So steel it was going to be? to one day I got asked If I needed a 205l drum "No!

I still got work to do to it nut cost in steel sheet and rod was £10 :D

Really neat.

Certainly deserves a drum roll.

Is there really nothing that can't be re purposed to help create a buggy ?

Like all ways? the tools you need are at the workshop or like me at my parents home like a 5ft 1/2 ton folder and as I need to fold up some bits for the buggy it was a case of make ,buy or a 20mile trip,, So I made a small folder cost was just time and £30 in old bit that I had,,

Why I was buying the shell I did get offered the chassis but it was ££K and way too good for me to cut up,, well it was sold and that was that to it came back up for sale - less engine and wheels... I do have 4 kids no time and :-X , So I was thinking If I got it and bolted it all up added new wheels and a 1600cc engine I would have a buggy for summer  :D but thank's to ccp ::) ,, and a twin carb 1600cc will look the same as any over buggy with a bug engine And Back in the good old days of £50!! engines I would turbo them,,So I got a thinking ::) I have got 3! 1500cc engines in my old shed and loots and loots of turbo and vw bits :D So its Turbo time yes turbo 1500 single port time,, My budget is £200 ;D for parts my engine cost £0 came out of a skip like 15 years ago,, So why build a 1500cc If you have bigger engines well stock gearbox and :-X So bits I will use one 1500cc engine I hope I have got a good one!! I will rebuild it as a stock engine apart from bolt up rocker shafts and uprated valve springs, I will deep sump it and full flow it,,The carb will be a Weber 32/36 yep the sh!t one that no? one turbos,, It cost £50 off ebay ,, Turbo will? be a T2! with a 1500 s/p the top end is  :-\ so I need to see boost at 2krpm and be full psi at 4k the cheap empi heads are good! but way too big!! So why have 4k as max rpm? > stock crank for one-case life etc, I will use a stock p-plate but a good disc, Why a stock p-plate! As it is a cheap weak link!! A lot faster to fix and say a gearbox, 10psi will get me 80hp?! and a long-lasting!! engine that I can fix on the cheap,

buggying on a tight budget nothing wrong with that and you get the satisfaction of making it work from mismatched parts. ;-)up

Its just a bit of fun I got an efi turbo 1776cc but the chassis I got coming I think is all stock!! And I got :-X ;-)(-; So 100hp will do and it shows that there is no dark art to putting a turbo on a low cc vw engine on the cheap!
