So i currently have rx8 seats in my buggy but i want something that sits lower due to my cage being short.

Other than the standard shells which would not work with my belly and fat arse what options do i have?

At present im considering:

the beetle race seats from heritage/cool air
MX5 black leather jobs
The ones BigGP and Aaron have

What other options do i have? They need to sit low to the floor, be comfortable for a more larger gentleman and fit.

Cheers

Hi Hoffer,

I've used the low back bucket you mentioned earlier but with loads of foam padding.
This slightly lifts your backside meaning you don't have to rub it in butter to get into the seat.

That said I am so so tempted to use alloy "bomber" seats in a kind of hotrod buggy you could make them any width you like then.

Check out Jamey Jordan bomber seat on YouTube it's a back seat but you will get the idea.

After sitting in Hunters car, I also have gone for Suzuki Cappuccino seats - very narrow, and very comfy.

I have a pair of those race trim ones in my beetle and i would say they were relatively wide. Nice and comfy though!

Pete at Fibrecraft made mine and they have plain flat bases which I drilled and bolted through with large washers to suit my runners ;)

If you get in touch he is most helpful so may be able do something for you if you give him the dimensions, he made me a custom battery box ;-)up

The box on the bottom is hollow and you can get to the inside to put any fixing you want on

As per Huunter and Dave DND I have got Suzuki Cappuccino seats. Mark at dreamshack uses them too. they can be difficult to source unless you drop lucky though
