So one of the things which was a failure at the MOT place was that the battery needs securing.  Its currently located in the rear fibreglass recess behind drivers seat and I suspect may be something that is easy to do.

Can anyone point me to ways of doing this?  Obviously I can drill and use a battery securing bar from places like Halfords, but did wonder if there is a smarter/neater solution perhaps a box with the securing from beneath?

I cut a slot either side Neil the battery and fed a nylon luggage strap round it. The type with a  metal feed through clasp. Cut it to length, melt the end to stop it fraying and sealed the slots.

I have also use the luggage strap method but I used some shoulder strap loops of an old rifle to anchor

I just didn't have any old rifles lying about at the time, shame they look just  a the job.


You can also buy velcro straps pretty cheap off eBay, they would do fine

I bought the battery tray for now so I can get it sorted for MOT.  Would like a battery box that contains it all so will kep an eye out for the right size
