Good old Flags got me some slot mag wheels last year, dead chuffed. Finally finished house renovation so out to the garage finally time to have a go at them wheels. Raining every weekend so didn't want to uncover the car. 52 hours spent rubbing and cleaning and painting. Saturday nice day get the buggy and the beetle out to blow the cobwebs out. Ooh I'll try the wheels on before the final polish and properly measure up for Mr.Tee. Balls they stick out 2 inches from the arches. Does anyone know if they ever made slot mags that went straight on the front of a beetle with discs or shall I sell the car ?

I was thinking more berian/achme type of thing 8)

I have that size front tyre,22 psi. At 15 my buggy follows the troffs in the road which feels like wondering. I generally check pressure before i go out cause they go flat easily with the low pressure.

Thanks guys. I am on the pin map but will see about getting it on my tag. Unfortunately weddings, busfest and endless diy eats all the time Dave. That would be ideal really, just the job. Years ago before i was a multi millionaire one had to do home mechanics, but simple stuff. I remember on my diesel t25 the bloke in place i bought the cam belt was takingthe pee saying one way to do it was to start the engine and split the old belt ,stop the engine, take half off ,slide new belt on half then cut the rest of old belt off, slide new one fully on. Job done if your brave enough! Thought about it,worked a treat, just cut a little, turn moter ,cut some more and so on. He had egg on his face, could'nt beleive i did it. Thing is i want to learn about the engine cause the more i read the more i don't know and if it goes wrong i don't understand anything people are on about when trying to help. Like dave dream with his heavy duty paperclip thing he sorted at pier pressure, what was that?

Does anyone know of any video or youtube things to learn about these ear vw engines. I've tried reading some books but after 10 pages it end up a load of meaningless jumbled up funny words. Hands on i learn instantly so was hoping videos could be the way forward before wrecking my buggy just to find out im a dipstick.
