Thata a big range - 25mins to 150 mins. But even worst case it sounds like you could do that with swapping 3 or 4 small batteries round  - charge up overnight if needed (from a big ole static battery in the van if no AC power) and during the day if you can. Depends on how much power the alternator takes if it's worth it.

I was thinking that the races were around half an hour, so with all of that lot on full time in the dark it's only 68Ah - Swap it out for the next race

Surprised you run an alternator at all when you race, unless it's in the dark. Parasitic loads and all that.

My sandrail still has the bog standard beetle dampers on despite having the Porsche S2 rear end, getting quite a bit of squat under power so these might help so i will take them.
I can arrange pick up or drop off post as preferred. pm for payment!

As Snoopy said itÁs all down to what you want. There is no right or wrong. Personally though I din't think hub caps go with the off road look.

That was my thought too.
Also looks like they are over inflated from the shape and rolling pattern.

Nice looking buggy though.

Co-incidentally a mate has US made box section rear arms, IRS brackets to fit, and a 002 IRS gearbox up for sale soon - depends on your timescale.

For IRS the usual way to go standard Ball Joint or King Pin front end then to swap out the gearbox and weld on a couple of brackets for Porsche/1302/after-market arms. Depends on how good your fabrication/welding is.

However you don't need IRS If you are just light use (again refer to Hibbard's book).
But TBH for 8K you can easily buy something already done. - In fact if you are interested in a Q plate Sandrail rather than a Baja drop me a pm as his could be available ready to go light use or possibly with all the bits (inc a nice reliable 2l Subaru+ loom/adapter/gearbox/arms etc) to build to full spec.

Other than the Peugeot badge is there any relation to a 206 ?
Doesn't look like 8 points to me...  :D
