Have you tried Lee at Volksmagic?

Hi Buddy,

Initially welcome to the forum.

Secondly as the designer of the Doon I never knew one had made its way to France. I know of ones in Belgium, Holland, Greece and even Morocco but not France.

Does it have a serial number under the bonnet. It would be nice to see a picture.

I have used the SPiYDA gauge wizard on a number of projects and its a brilliant little gizmo.

Can get the furl gauge as close to 100% accurate as can be...

Highly recommended.

Also try Lee Southerton at Volksmagic 0121 541 2278.

Lee has many many contacts in the VW world and can get most things. He got my last original coupling no problem.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I really try to make it as easy as possible but as every diagram I do is bespoke and effectively started from scratch it always takes me much longer than I would want it to. It actually takes me much longer to draw the diagrams and put the kit together than it does for me to wire a complete buggy from scratch.  :)

Therefore I could not really make it a viable business and hence only really do it for forum members if they are willing to wait for me to get the kits finished in the spare time I have.  :D :D

No problem at all Nav.

Sorry it took a little longer than planned but hopefully it will be easy to do.

Any issues just shout.

Enjoy the wiring.

S004 is Mark's maroon Doon

Unfortunately S005 was the grey one we did for Volksworld that has since found its way to Greece to be ripped off by that **** company over there.

I know a few of you already know but thought it was about time I let others know, if you know what I mean  ;D ;D

I have purchased another buggy  ;-)up

No, I am not getting rid of my beloved Doon SWB 002 and never will, but I have only gone and agreed a deal to bring Doon SWB 001 home to keep it company.

Yes I have agreed to buy the first ever production Doon that was moulded, off Rich (my original co-conspirator in the design of the Doon).

Ruth has already marked it as hers, after a few modifications or so she tells me  ;D

Need to get the dust off it and get it started, but hopefully it will be heading back with me to Worcester way very shortly..

See you Thursday.

Need a break from teh Mother-in-laws bungalow refurbishment project I seemed to have landed myself in....

Hi Arran, are you bringing the buggy down or getting it sent down?

Only ask as I work less than 1 mile from Volksmagic.

Hi bud. They were left and right parking lights (left and right) for mainly American market.
Just cut them off as don't need them.

Hi Paul,

56 is the 12v feed from the headlight switch (which is ignition 12v and is actually fed from the Yellow/Black secondary ignition part of the fuse board, which turns off when ignition key is turned to starter motor to turn off lights and put all power to starter if lights have been left on - if that makes sense).

30 is a permanent 12V feed which enables the headlights to be flashed when the headlight switch is off. i.e. like on a modern car when you flash people to thanks them, berate them, flash then through etc.

Hope that helps?
