Hurray another buggy north of Birmingham. A bit too far west, but nit to worry. Welcome to the forum.
Nice looking buggy you have. Are you respraying the body too, or just the metalwork?

Hello, welcome.
Chassis looking good.
And I spy an early X1/9 lurking too. Very nice.

You ordered RHD, so the srcond box will also have the right had side set up.

Got you worried now, eh?

(It'll be fine, probably)

Fingers crossed this could be perfect timing. Hang tight for the moment I'd say.

Well I'm looking forward to seeing Mark, Flags and 'Scottish' Alan on Belgium TV.

What he said was....

Beach Buggy General Help / Starter bush replacenent

How do I fit a new starter motor bush?
I've drifted the old one out from the flywheel end. But how best to get the new one in without manglung it?
Also, can it be put in fton the flywheel end, or must it be put in from the starter end?

Beach Buggy Rolling Chassis Help / Axle gaiters
« on: February 29, 2020, 02:16:34 PM »
OK so it's generally accepted that 'split' axle gaiters should have the split at 3 or 9 o'clock, rather than 12 o'clock. However my new ones, and I imagine most, have thinner walls opposite the split which I pressume is to more room between the half shafts and the chassis forks. But that would leave the split at 12 o'clock.
Still fit with the split at 3 or 9 ?

News for the UK folks who have attended IBW over the years where the Vanclee Brothers crew were regulars.

33 years old I believe. Way too young.

Does it weight significantly more, and have a bit more rear end sag factor too?
(Of course you have a type 4 lump, which I think is a bit heavier than a T1 anyway)

Haha, I think 50% of newbies on here are just oldies in disguise. Welcome back.
Now, I need to find those photos of your GP at Buxton.
