Beach Buggy Body and Chassis Help / Manx steering column
« on: July 06, 2020, 08:47:27 PM »
I hope some of you Manx owners who bought from Flatlands can answer this question. I Bought the steering column bracket and brace bar from Mark at flatlands way back and never really thought where the cross brace bolts in I've looked and am I right in thinking it bolts into the bonnet underneath where the windscreen rubber sits then you cut an hole in the dash to accommodate the tube for column if that makes sense  :-\

Beach Buggy Body and Chassis Help / Etch priming
« on: March 08, 2014, 07:03:33 AM »
Having got the chassis sand blasted, noticed on the rear frame and torsion tube housings some rust blemish spots coming through which I was sort of expecting.
If I put rust inhibitor all over this area and then etch prime has anyone any ideas as to what will happen, don't know if the etch will bite in or will it effect the inhibitor  :-\. I know really the etch should go straight onto bare metal, anyone done this before any, ideas would be appreciated.
