Rears on the rail are toed in considerably for rear end stability, like the majority of road cars. Toe out under heavy braking in the wet is great if you like replacing your underwear often, I guess.
 I run 3mm of static toe-in per side.

It's really gonna depend on your budget - and don't forget your welding gas will have rental attached to the bottle that can add up quick too.

Honestly urethane, delrin, brass/bronze are all pretty sh.. compared to the needle bearings for both normal lifespan and ride/handling.
 The only reason I use delrin or blended bushes is because offroading hard brinells OE needle bearings from the impacts, you'd have to go a lot bigger than the beam to fit suitable needles to cope with it - but the plain bearings are a downgrade otherwise.

Been looking at a similar idea for my new front end as I have to change the angle of the column

Most I have seen seem to run with two joints though - Not a single one    :-\

Because if you only run one UJ you'll get horribly inconsistent steering as the output and input will be out of phase with each other. Two UJ's matched correctly correct most of that.

I run Delrin bushes in the racer, work fine for wear. You will get a bit worse ride quality than say, needle bearings though, just because they do add a decent amount more friction. Make sure you groove them so lube can get around them properly.

As I've said before, I'd be very careful about fitting any of these kits that are sold on the premise that double wishbones are better than trailing arms simply because they're double wishbones. I've lost count of the number of times we've looked at the front of the racer and considered chopping it up to fit wishbones and then abandoned it because it quickly becomes apparent that if you want clearly better performance/geometery than the trailing arms you need wishbones 2-3x the length of the ones that come with these kits.
 And with that amount of polybushes to bind, squeak and cause friction instead of bonded rubber bushes I'd bet the ride quality on the road is no better or even worse than a decent stock needle bearing beam too.

Won't really make any difference to that, they're to reduce any slack in the system and help with pad/fluid knockback, but brakeline pressures under braking are so much higher than that - and the circuit being hydraulic means your pressures are balanced as soon as they get over the 2psi - they won't make any difference to the brake bias in practical use.

The only difference you might really feel would be with the car jacked up you'd have slightly more drag on the rear wheels when spinning them by hand.

Yep, 2psi, they do reduce the pedal travel a little, brakes feel slightly sharper as a result, but the main thing is you don't get as much knock-off and a soft pedal after hard cornering or off roading.

Yes, I run them, in my road cars too - mine are plumbed in straight after the master cylinders.

Should have turned the ignition off - with the power on you would have had all the coils, etc, energised and then when you pulled off the battery terminal it'd got no buffer to control the voltage, any charge remaining in any of the circuits, etc, would have seen a voltage spike as the magnetic field collapsed with no battery to absorb it - you probably sent 30-40 volts through everything for a split second.

Seems very controllable but hey, most of us are running prehistoric engine not race motors. There’s Mallory, Petronix billet stuff , 123 and 009/SVDAs with electronic ignition.
Horses for course. Mind you the billet stuff does look nice.  :-\ :D

They're even better on a road motor than they are on a race motor really - most of the benefit of programmable fuel injection is being able to optmise part load timing for better throttle response, power and usually much better fuel economy - you're not so bothered about that on a race motor as you're at full throttle most of the time.

Same, we have a dry break coupling down there, it's great for working on the fuel system.

Brake efficiency is just a function of the stopping power compared to the weight of the car, nothing to do with knockback and pedal travel which is what the valves are for.

Always fit them as close to the master cylinder as possible, since part of their function is to reduce drainback.

Maybe, but I'd certainly take issue with it being a far stronger design for off road use  - yes, it gives you stronger suspension arm, but it also pus all that force into the gearbox casing so for offroad use in the UK where you're likely in somone's big 4x4 tyre ruts, rather than US/African desert stuff, that generally means you're going to flex the gearbox casing every time a wheel shunts the side of a rut and if something big enough that it would trouble the IRS setup, then it's big enough that your swing axle is going to strip some gears.
