Hope you have a dry one guys and girls.

Cheers Flags looks like we will be better off than you folk in the South and West, last year Sunday was dry but on the Monday we had thunderstorms so they are a day early this year  :(

Gazeebo is in plus 3 sides this time for improved shelter.

Dedbugs ( jim) bargain dynamo and parts turned up dinner time so when I got in had a look in the massive box containing a dynamo, stand, chrome parts and new adjustment washers  ;-)up
Had a look at the dynamo and found the DF wire adrift from the stud inside a common fault if the stud gets turned with a seized nut. Resoldering is not easy but done insitu by removing, cleaning and putting new solder on the stud with a small gas flame, got some solder on the wire then refit the DF stud and hold the wire on with a screwdriver, application of the small gas torch through the hole behind the pulley and job is a good one.
Interesting when doing a motor test is spun anti clockwise which makes sense as it is a motor not charging. The old one goes clockwise no matter what you do with the polarity.

Engine in and now charging so happy days just awaiting the seat runners to arrive.

My buggy is a 1600.
I've done a few bits to it to make a bit quicker than "standard". And I'm yet to be beaten in a traffic light Grand Prix with the local boy racers.

But ....
will I be able to keep up with a haggis if I see one ?
