Beach Buggy General Help / Battery box
« on: April 06, 2021, 09:37:39 AM »
Hi my battery is in the passenger side foot well, not a prob don't want to move it but what is the best way to cover it? Was going to use checker plate but been told should not cover with metal (I am not a mechanic obviously), would a plastic battery box be the best solution or any other ideas.  Advice appreciated. Cheers Deb

Beach Buggy General Help / Cutting out
« on: March 10, 2021, 04:14:00 PM »

Hi All buggy has been going really well, starts first time, passed mot and been running good when I have used it locally, but had a flat spot when accelerating.  So and this could be a mistake had it converted to electronic ignition and had a vacuum advance distributor put on it.  Still starts and runs fab, ticks over fine but cutting out now when I slow down at junctions/roundabouts. Any ideas please what it could be?  The guy I normally go to is too busy at the moment to look at it so was wondering could it be something simple.  (I am hoping). 👍

Beach Buggy Body and Chassis Help / Bodywork holes
« on: December 15, 2020, 01:30:07 PM »
Hi probably silly question for those who know, but due to moving mirrors and number plate I have ended up with a few unwanted holes, my buggy is not going to be a show buggy so would rubber grommets be ok or is there some other simple fix.  I a worried about rain getting in under the fibre glass. Cheers Deb

Thanks Dave for the info will check them out.
