Welcome aboard.

My understanding ( might be wrong ) but cars of a certain age or kit cars do not need to have a chassis number stamped on them. Mine is a 1959 but registered as a 1969 with no number on it  ??? Never had any issues with an mot for it.

Beach Buggy Engine and Exhaust Help / Re: Another Oil Breather Query
« on: December 16, 2017, 09:53:56 AM »
I've had issues with the oil wanting to leave the engine on our bus. Sorted that out with the CB breather tower venting to both carbs a drain going to the fuel pump blanking plate and a vent with one of those small gauze filters as high as I could get it. I will try and post some pics tomorrow. Did this set up on the wife's 1641cc buggy as well.

I have a set with tyres that are shot. The rims are rusty. I can get them to Carterton any day of the week if that helps.

Beach Buggy Body and Chassis Help / Re: Bucket of worms..

Hi. I was warned against any age related change to the V5 by a tax office ( they did exist years ago). Was told no matter what info I produced the vehicle would be looked over with a fine tooth. That's where I stopped.

Thanks everyone for a top weekend. ;-)up ;-)up ;-)up ;-)up ;-)up ;-)up Good to meet some new faces.

Great place for base camp. Great entertainment with the Friday night quiz thanks to Hazel and Miller.

Great Saturday blast out and only a few drops of rain. And a few break downs but all made it back.

Iíve stripped down the offside carb this after and blasted carb cleaner through every hole and it no longer sounds like a chuffing train  ;D ;D. My fault I think as I can't remember cleaning the air filters after the Swanage monsooooooooooooooooooooon a couple of years ago.

Roll on Swanage this year ;-)up

Testa, Karen and the 2 monsters.

Both buggys packed as far as possible today even gave one a bit of fresh paint. Still can't be bothered to clean them tho.

Roll on next weekend. 8)

See ya all there.

Beach Buggy General Help / Re: Chassis No
« on: July 05, 2017, 08:55:19 PM »
I'm sure on early chassis the number was not stamped. It was only on the riveted on metal plate. Might be wrong but also  if of a certain age kit cars do not require a chassis no.
