What oil would you guys recommend that has a lower running temp and would you flush engine on change ?
-
I flush on every other oil change, if it's an engine that's "new" to me I'll flush it on the first. As for running at a cooler temperature, I've not heard of changing oil to lower temperatures. If you want to change your oil pressure, pick a different viscosity. What are your oil temperatures? If you're running hot, I think addressing the issue which is causing the increased temperature would be a lot better than trying to address the symptoms.

not running hot just thought with running oil through remote oil coolers to keep temps down thought there might be an oil that is equipped more for running in air cooled engines

some folks swear by straight 30 oils but I always and still do use 20/50 now sold as a classic motor oil. no need to flush if you change it regularly so it does not go thick and black.

I've just started using Valvoline 20w/50, before that I use to use Halfords 20w/50. I've tried straight 30 a few times before, worked well too but thinking about it, it's just that little bit too thick when cold and just that little bit too thin when hot.
