Just how heavy is the body?

Looks like that has been stood for many years, as Hugh says you may need an industrial size tin of WD40. Great team effort on lifting the shell

A few more pics of chassis modification and preparation.

When I picked the car up, the gearstick had a 90 degree kink in it as the gear stick / gearbox linkage was directly under the dash.
This has now been moved back 6 inches....... and yes, before anyone says it, I will need a shortened handbrake lever!

I went to the Beaujangle 'factory' when it was going. it was no more than 3 old stables down a cobbled alley way...

Yes, the framehead has been shortened, but whoever did it butchered it with a hammer to be able to fit the brake master cylinder! $:-\$ next job on the list!
