Bought by my brother in 1984 over in Leeds (we lived in Doncaster then), sadly not been able to find any old photos from then (but here's some from 1999). It was a 6volt, based on an early 1950's chassis with full weather gear (but leaked!). He later then swapped it to 12v with a 1600type 3 engine. it was his only car for a couple of years. Had some great times in it but he always about someday changing for something a little different.

Anyway, after he was killed in 1999, I inherited it and went about rebuilding it - was in a poor shape by then. Patched up the body work, resprayed, rebuilt the engine, new clutch, changed the exhausts, replaced the floor pans, new lights and a few other bits and pieces. Added a bar to the roll bar for the seat harnesses.

I then drove it as much as possible, including driving down in 2000 to the SDBC picnic in Epsom from Doncaster - there and back in the same day - 400mile round trip. Though in 2005, with a slight change in circumstances, it went into storage at a friends in Donny until 2010, when i got it out again, did a few mechanicals on it and brought down here in Bedfordshire. I then sold it to a chap in Poole Dorset in early 2011, it was later spotted on ebay in 2012 still in the same area by someone else. So I wonder where it is now? I think it now has a white roll bar and white wheels (still the old banded ones)
