Hi guys , looking for some help I suspect my buggy may have been a sand rail type previously as description is 2 seater is there any sand rail pages on Facebook ? :-\ for archive photos possiblyl have tried google search of plate but no results

Odd if it's lwb but a swb could well have been registered as a 2 seater

A lot of convertibles were registered as 2 seaters as well   ;-)up

Yes it’s a SWB convertible ! 2 seater, but was trying to find some archive photos google brings no results maybe it was camera shy  ;D previous owner had no info  as sold it on

If it's still a swb floorpan then I doubt it will have been a sand rail as most were tube framed. A few had a framework bolted to a Beetle chassis but they were full length.

 I had a buggy inspected once and the logbook came back as 'two seat 4x4 light utility vehicle' which was totally correct (to their way of thinking) and quite common back then.

I wouldn't worry about it.

I've got a lwb 4 seater but in reality the rear seats never get used although some do make regular use of the rears.

Just make sure there's no seats fitted and you're compliant

And as a two seater with the insurance. Most buggy rear seats are only a padded shelf anyway.

Thanks for all your replies some food for thought , good point about floor pan , never occurred to me ! Guess it was just camera shy or rough
