For those who would like to stay in a bungalow, ... here is the link to the holidaypark in the same road as the IBW

Just checked on the stenna site for interested parties the Harwich ferry is £332 for a buggy and 2 people return doing cheapest options. Discount price will be looked into but no guarantee of one.

Have not price checked the tunnel option yet.

It's worth checking dfds from Dover to Dunkirk, I took the 6am ferry a couple of years back to go to EBI in Chimay.  It's not a bad drive the other side.

It's 170 miles the other side (via Antwerp to meet up with this going to the Hook), as apposed to 135 miles from the Hook.

The Dover to Dunkirk route is approximately £140 without any deals

Traditionally, the best times to haggle with Stenna seem to be around the first week in November once we have numbers to play with - Tunnel would mean an overnight somewhere, so would need to find somewhere secure for the Buggies

Not sure how Brexit is going to impact this one as yet either and what other travel documents we will need apart from International Driving Permit which is available from your Post Office

Tunnel and Harwich are both 200 miles from home so early ish morning drive to the tunnel then the 135 miles the other side is a day trip to arrive friday late afternoon or evening at IBW.

Me, Chad, Paddy & wobbly Bob did it and stopped about 100kms from Calais. It meant we could get a late start after a good breakfast on the Friday and get to IBW in plenty of time for the fun and games. One of my all time road trips with like minded fools. The Irish bar for my birthday on the way back was just more jam in the doughnut.

EuroTunnel is about £160 return for 2 and a buggy  (191 miles to IBW)
Ferry to Dunkirk is about the same (174 miles to IBW)
Ferry to Hook of Holland is about £332 (138 miles to IBW)
Ferry to Rotterdam is about (unsure as when i searched says no crossings) (120miles to IBW)

Obviously these are without any discounts

As IDA said you can use Tesco club card vouchers too
There is numerous discounts you can do on the ferries or tunnel including 10% off if you're a Camping and caravan club member.

Think if possible we should put at the end of your name your idea of travel then we can get an idea of numbers for any discounts  ;-)up
