Dell 36 carb question

Was thinking of fitting trumpets to my dell 36s, been told need an adapter first to fit trumpets to 36s. Has anybody got this set up and is it worth the money for what difference they make ?

I fitted velocity stacks to my Dellorto 36s mid way through the initial rolling road setup and it did add a couple of bhp.

The stacks help smooth the air flow/channel into the carbs.

I don't remember needing any adapters though
