In the olden days when life wasn't yet in colour the only source of glass fibre was Halfords Isopon kits with the red hardener. There was a little bit of colour  So that's all I have experience of.

Now I want to do 2 things.

First on the buggy I want to alter the dashboard and make a moulding for the instruments. My temporary, about 12 years old, MDF solution needs to finally be made permanent

Second I have something fairly small and fragile (made of polyfiller) I need to take a mould from then cast a duplicate.

Questions
To make the dash piece which I need to do on the existing dash then make a mould while on the dash would plasticine do the trick as it's easy to work?

What slhould I get to do the jobs? I won't need a lot so no good buying by the gallon, don't need it coloured.

What should I use as release agent?

Any other tips welcome

Cheers
Dave

Forgot. Filler, what's the difference between Isopon 10 and 20? Guess it's the grade like sandpaper with 20 the finest.

Gordon does the ff bodies or Chimp made his own one off deck lid, and side pods and then did an opening bonnet using Mels mould it would be worth a chat.
