I’m restoring an old school GP and have 7” smoothies for the rear. The axle has short castings and the chassis will be set up with no lowering.
I want tall tyres on the back that are as close to vertical off the rims.
Can anyone tell me what tyre size would work for me?

Link worked - thank you. Confusing thing is that 255 70 15 will fit from 6.5 to  8.00 width wheel. So taking the mid size of 7 1/4 then it suggests that 255 size tyre would be close to vertical off the rim, which is what I want to achieve.

The swb one in this feature has 235 70 15 on a 7” rim. Good combo in my opinion. You can probably go wider on a short axle GP though

The classic set up for 1970s GP buggies was usually  XJ6 Jag 205/70x15's (E70VR15's) on 7" banded wheels all round.
