Weather permitting, we are going to do what we did last year and have our breakfast at Stonebridge, Toby Carvery (Coventry Road CV7 7HL) at 10.00am and then from there go to Wellesbourne market, which is a very big market and then from there to the hotel.

If the weather isn't great, we will be going into Birmingham City centre for breakfast and shopping so if anyone wishes to do this let us know  ;-)up

I'm sure others will be receiving our hosts 'The Village' Hotels enticing emails about how they are looking forward to my visit, including the latest temptation:

' There's a few things you can do before you arrive that will really enhance your experience, such as pre-ordering your drinks. There are discounts available, such as 10% off wine when you order 10 bottles or more, and it means we can have your drinks ready for your arrival, so there's less time spent at the bar and more time partying! '

They clearly are used to some much bigger gatherings than us if a 10 bottle advanced order is seen as something I'd likely make.

I know I shouldnít rise to it but in truth this evening Iím actually on a 1997 Late bottled port under the Harvey Nichols label. It was part of a mixed Lot of some 10 bottles but I donít recall a 10% discount.

As for a butler I fear the nearest most willing volunteer is moonlighting as a Santa helper.

Well huge thanks to all those who organised things ...the booking, the list making, Secret Santa etc. Vanessa knows who they all are.

Secret Santa gave me an extravagant narcissistic one off Buggy Calendar featuring 90% yellow buggys - Thank you.

As for the modest array of chocolates you'd be far less impressed if you knew quite how little they cost me...but you are all worth it !

Great assorted photos Vanessa and I saw at least one without Lee although I may be mistaken and he's in fact there somewhere.

I only managed to capture Allan reading buggy porn (KitCar January 2020):

and two or three women - not Kath & Vicky ! - deciding to dance where all could see them and give Allan an eye full:
